Wire types and their sonic properties
There is no doubt in my mind that a cable made with high quality materials will make a difference to the sound quality, some people hear it and some people don't, if you don't then there is nothing wrong with you or your ears and probably means that you are just not over analysing your music which can only be a good thing, I actually like buying things just because they look great which is why we make these beautiful cables in the first place, anyway that aside and if you're interested the following is a brief description of the different metals in wires and their sonic qualities.
Copper- The warmest sounding of all the metals which also offers the deepest bass
Silver plated copper (SPC)- Not quite as warm as copper and can add to the sparkle at the top end
Hybrid- These wires are generally made with a mix of copper and silver plated copper or copper and pure silver, a good quality hybrid
wire can be one of the most neutral and balanced cable type.
Pure silver- A high purity pure silver cable can have everything from deep bass to sublime top end clarity and sparkle however a
pure silver cable made with a low quality wire can sound thin, harsh and overall would not be worth your money, in my experience a high
quality copper or silver plated copper cable is much better than a low quality pure silver cable

4 and 8 wire braided cables- Lots of different variations of all metal and wire types, all of our 4 and 8 wire cables are extremely flexible and made with very high quality and high purity wire, there is different variations between the 4 and 8 wire cables as some of the wire types are too thick for an 8 wire cable, there is no audible difference between a 4 wire and 8 wire cable made with the same wire.
Top n tails- As far as can see Cosmic Cables are the only cable makers to offer this type of cable, the bottom end of the cable before the splitter is a coloured pvc jacket which has 4 litz wires twisted through, the black with red fleck is the only version that is made with occ copper all the other colours are silver plated copper, please don't be deceived by the look of this cable as it is incredibly light and very flexible. The black with red fleck will offer a slightly different sound signature to all the other colours, this is a superb looking and sounding cable at an affordable price.
Parallel lines- Once again as far as I can see Cosmic Cables are the only cable makers to offer this cable type, Parallel lines is two 2.8mm wires running (you guessed it) parallel to one another, the bronze and champagne versions have a occ copper litz core with a gold plated criss cross shield where as the copper and silver versions are made with a litz type 6 construction, all versions are very light and flexible and look and sound fantastic.
Unsleeved twisted headphone cables- These cables are made with two 2 core wires each side is 2.8mm and of a litz type 6 construction, available in many colours these cables are also very light and flexible, the description for each cable will tell you which metals are used in each colour.
Sleeved twisted headphone cables- These cables are all made with 4 high quality wires of your choice and sleeved with 2 wires in each side in a polyester or nylon sleeve. Very lightweight and durable.
Sleeved headphone cables- These cables consist of 4 high quality wires of your choice, the bottom of the cable is the 4 wires sleeved in a 6mm sleeve up until the splitter and then branching off to 2 wires in a 4mm sleeve to each headphone side, once again these cables are very light and flexible and the sleeving is beautiful and durable.
